Feelin' fine in 2009

I've just spent the past hour and a half reading various family and friend blogs, and I am feeling really inspired at the moment. I never knew how incredibly talented and funny some of the people in my life are. Thanks to everyone who offers a glimpse into their lives through blogs. You rock.

So, it's 2009 already. Amazing! It seems like only yesterday that I was a freshman in college, and the year was 1995 and everyone was sporting claw bangs. I graduated college many years ago, but today is the first day of another semester at another college, where I am attempting to complete all of the prerequisite classes for P.A. school, or something like unto it. Sometimes I feel upset that I've wasted a goodly number of years doing things I wasn't really interested in (cough***window company***cough), but I'm really grateful for second (and third and so on)chances to try new things and to get things right. I'm taking Organic Chemistry labs I and II, and Genetics and Genetics lab so far. Hoping to add a few more classes soon. I've never been known for my lack of procrastination.

I was trying to post a picture, but for some reason it's not working. I'll get back to you soon.

Way to remake yourself, and good luck with academia. I keep breaking up with academia but we always end up back together in the end. However, if academia tried to serve me Organic Chemistry, I think it would be the very end of the relationship. And I know what you mean about the late nights. You may recall that I once was a hardcore night owl (why start the paper at 7:00 the night before it's due? wait until 1:00 am! the night is young, and Mandy's in the kitchen being funny!) On the stroke of midnight on my 30th birthday I lost my special powers. No more all-nighters for me.

Good luck with your brave endeavors. You will Do Mighty Fine in Aught-Nine!
